The route at a glance

The Drava Cycle Path follows the Drava for about 510 kilometres from Toblach in South Tyrol, where the river rises, through East Tyrol and Carinthia to Maribor in Slovenia. In the East Tyrolean Drava valley you ride towards Lienz with the Alps all around, then on through meadows and forests to Villach. The paths are well surfaced, and in Carinthia they are flat and easy, so the route also works for families. Inns and hotels line the whole way, and Maribor at the end is known for its wine country.
