The route at a glance

The Jura Route is Swiss National Route 7 and runs for about 280 kilometres from Basel to Nyon on Lake Geneva. In between lies the Jura, with dense forests, wide high plateaus and limestone cliffs, a quiet and thinly populated region. On the way you pass small Jura villages where you can try the local cheese. Expect plenty of climbs and descents, so the route suits fitter riders who are after peace and quiet. At the end, Nyon welcomes you with its harbour and old town.
