The route at a glance

The Albtäler Radtour covers about 250 kilometres through the valleys of the Swabian Jura. You start in Aalen, home of the Limes Museum, and first follow the Kocher river, then ride through the Lone valley with its karst rocks and caves and up to the Albtrauf, the steep edge of the Jura with wide views over the land below. Geislingen an der Steige and Münsingen lie along the way. The route is well signposted, and flat stretches alternate with proper climbs, so bring some fitness.
