Friedensroute

The Peace Route covers about 170 kilometres on the trail of the 1648 Peace of Westphalia, linking the two peace cities of Münster and Osnabrück. In both cities you can visit the historic town hall where the negotiations took place. In between you ride through the flat Münsterland, with fields, woods and small rivers, past palaces, castles and old village churches. The route is well signposted and also suits riders without much touring experience.
