The route at a glance
The Paderborner-Land-Route is a loop of about 250 kilometres through East Westphalia that starts and ends in Paderborn, home to the cathedral and the springs of the Pader. It crosses the gently rolling Paderborn plateau with its fields, small woods and streams, then follows the Lippe and Alme rivers, partly through nature reserves. Along the way you pass Bad Lippspringe with its spa gardens and rural Delbrück. The paths are well signposted, mostly flat and paved, so families can ride it too.
