The route at a glance

The Rhine Cycle Route is part of EuroVelo 15 and follows the Rhine for about 1,480 kilometres from Andermatt in the Swiss Alps to Hoek van Holland on the North Sea. You ride with the young river through the mountains to Basel, then between Alsace and Baden via Strasbourg and Karlsruhe into the Middle Rhine valley with its castles and the Loreley. Cologne and Düsseldorf follow, then the flat Netherlands to the coast near Rotterdam. It is well signposted and works well in sections.
