The route at a glance

The Rhone Route runs for about 350 kilometres across Switzerland, from Andermatt to Geneva. After starting in the Alps and crossing the Furka Pass with views of the glaciers, you follow the young Rhone down into the Valais. There the route runs through the broad Rhone valley between vineyards and villages where you can try raclette, before it reaches Lake Geneva and finishes in Geneva. It suits you if you want alpine riding combined with long, easier stretches along the valley floor.
