The route at a glance

The Southern Black Forest cycle route covers about 240 kilometres through the southern Black Forest, starting in Hinterzarten. On the way you reach the Titisee and the Schluchsee, both good for a swim or a break, and St. Blasien with its large cathedral. In between you ride through dense forest, across meadows and past old Black Forest farmhouses. The route is well built but has some demanding climbs, so it suits you if you don't mind gaining height.
